About KAYCNY

Founded in 2016 at the Long Island Korean School , the Korean American Youth Choir of New York (KAYCNY) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering Korean American youth through music, cultural education, and community engagement. Through choral training, public performances, and volunteer activities, KAYCNY provides meaningful opportunities for leadership, collaboration, and cultural exchange while celebrating Korean heritage and embracing the diversity of American society.

Our programs are supporting youth in their personal development, public service, and cultural activity milestones. All KAYCNY activities serve the public interest and do not provide financial benefit to any individual. We believe that financial hardship should never be a barrier to participation. KAYCNY offers a scholarship program and tuition assistance to ensure that all eligible youth—including those from low-income families—can participate fully, with free access to instruction and programs when needed.

2016년 롱아일랜드한국학교에서 창단된 뉴욕한인청소년합창단(KAYCNY)은 청소년들이 예술을 통해 정체성과 자신감을 키우고, 지역 사회에 기여할 수 있도록 지원하는 501(c)(3) 등록 비영리 단체입니다. KAYCNY는 음악 교육과 합창 활동을 통해 청소년들에게 리더십, 협력, 문화 교류의 기회를 제공하며, 문화적 다양성과 한인 문화유산의 가치를 널리 알리는 데 앞장서고 있습니다.

KAYCNY의 활동은 정기 공연, 커뮤니티 봉사, 문화 교류 프로그램을 포함하며, 청소년들이 봉사활동 및 자기계발 목표를 달성하는 데 실질적인 기회를 제공합니다. 모든 활동은 공익적 목적으로 운영되며, 참여자 누구에게도 금전적 이익을 제공하지 않습니다. 또한 KAYCNY는 모든 청소년에게 열린 기회를 제공하는 것을 핵심 가치로 삼고 있으며, 경제적 어려움이 참여의 장벽이 되지 않도록 장학제도를 운영하고 있습니다. 소득에 따라 등록금이 면제되거나 조정되며, 자격 요건을 충족하는 학생에게는 무료 수업 참여의 기회도 제공합니다.
