History of KAYCNY

Founded in 2016, the Korean American Youth Choir of New York (KAYCNY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth through music and cultural expression. The choir was established to provide Korean American youth with opportunities to explore their identity, grow in confidence, and engage meaningfully with the community. Since its founding, KAYCNY has performed at numerous cultural, civic, and commemorative events across New York and beyond, sharing the beauty of Korean heritage through music. From local festivals to national celebrations—including the first-ever Chuseok celebration at the White House in 2024—our choir proudly represents the voices and dreams of the next generation.

뉴욕한인청소년합창단(KAYCNY)은 2016년에 창단된 501(c)(3) 비영리 단체로, 음악과 문화 표현을 통해 청소년의 자아 정체성과 자신감을 키우고 지역 사회에 기여할 수 있도록 지원하고자 설립되었습니다. 창단 이래 KAYCNY는 뉴욕을 비롯한 다양한 문화 행사, 기념식, 공공 행사에 참여하며 한국의 아름다운 문화를 노래로 전해 왔습니다. 특히 2024년 백악관 최초의 추석 행사에 초청받아 공연하는 영예를 누리는 등 차세대의 목소리와 꿈을 대표하는 합창단으로 자리매김하고 있습니다.
